Mouse not working on boot

Hey,

My optical mouse does not work when booting in Zorin 9 (sometimes it randomly does). When I unplug and then replug, it works and keeps working till the end of my session. On windows 7 the mouse always works without any problem.

Any help is appreciated

Hi, to get a full meaningful report of your usb devices, you might want to install 'hwinfo' - open a terminal (Ctrl+ Alt+ T) and enter:

sudo apt-get install hwinfo
you will be asked for your login password - note you will not see asterisks or anything else while you do this so be careful!

then after install (answer Y to any prompt to install) enter:

sudo hwinfo --usb


This will give a very long list, but should show up something like this if your mouse is recognised:

Also have you tried changing it to a different usb port? :D

Also check your software settings and try running an update should you make any changes:
