[SOLVED] Canon mx340 install help zorin 10

I found an installation guide for ubuntu (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1518425) which provided drivers from (http://search-my.canon-asia.com/canon__ ... DS%09Linux).

I installed everything through the terminal (as instructed in the guide listed), and everything seemed to be going fine until I got a notification about the drivers and had to remove them. When I opened the driver files through the software center I got the following error message: "Dependency is not satisfiable: libtiff4".

I'm a total newb to Linux in general, but any help towards making these drivers work (or any other driver(s) that would make this printer compatible with Zorin 10) would be greatly appreciated.

You will also need to download your scanner driver from here:

http://support-asia.canon-asia.com/cont ... 72801.html

You can install using Software Center too - you don't have to use Gdebi but it is better than Software Center/re as it will inform you if any dependencies are missing.

Note that you will not be able to scan wirelessly - see my 'how to' on running scangear and create a shortcut:

Just to point out that you will need to have your printer wired to Zorin for scanning purposes! ;) :D
