Trying to install Subsonic

I'm trying to install latest subsonic package (subsonic-5.2.1.deb) on Zorin 10 Pro (thinks this is Ubuntu 14) and get "Package of bad quality" message.

Lintian check results for /tmp/subsonic-5.2.1.deb:
E: subsonic: arch-independent-package-contains-binary-or-object var/subsonic/transcode/ffmpeg
E: subsonic: arch-independent-package-contains-binary-or-object var/subsonic/transcode/lame"

I tried clicking ignore & install anywhere, but it didn't work.

Sorry if this is trivial - I'm a recent Windows refugee

Hi, It usually means that the coders of the application haven't configured the .deb package correctly - had a similar issue with Otter (community spin of Opera Web Browser). ;) :D

Ok, thanks, I've asked the same question on their own forum, maybe they'll fix it

Hi,

right click the downloaded .deb package and "Open with > Gdebi", see if that works!.

To install Gdebi, use the following terminal command:

Code:
sudo apt-get install gdebi
