Zorin/Linux Tutorial

What would be a good tutorial for Zorin? I had one a while back, but it was for Mint. Both are Debian-based however, so would that suffice? I need to master the basics - commands, installing/removing software, etc. When Windows 7 is EOL in 2020, I want to be comfortable with Linux. I want to be able to easily do in Linux everything I do now with Windows.

Thanks, Michael (welcome back, Zorin forum!).

Hi Michael,

Well as you know there is an excellent unofficial manual, courtesy of GEWB here:

If you want to go deeper then I suggest taking a look at the Ubuntu Wiki:

https://help.ubuntu.com/stable/ubuntu-help/

Just be aware that Zorin does not have a 'launcher' like Ubuntu.

Commands have not changed much so this is another excellent guide:

I cover the three ways to install packages in my latest video:

Hi, just thought I'd share this tutorial. It's the one I mentioned. It's not specifically for Mint, I got that wrong. but I think it's very good. I plan to go through it and finish it this time! There is so much out there for learning Linux. Others may find the excellent tutorials listed here more helpful, but for me this one really suits my learning style.
