More Pop ups, Curser jumping and slower browser

I have been using Zorin OS9 for about six months now and I have noticed I do get more pop ups than I did at first and my firefox browser is slower too at times. If I do a search on google image or switch to a new page sometime a previous image will still "linger," in the middle of a new text. Also my curser will jump when typing to other parts of the page or further back in the sentence I have finished.

My computer is a laptop Dell inspiron 1525.

Could I have a virus? If so how do I find it and remove it? Is there also some kind of an adware removal for Zorin OS9? Any other possible fixes?

Adware is more likely related to browser issues? Try using Adblock Plus, Ghostery, and Autodestruct Cookie add-ons for firefox. Your machine might be a bit underpowered for Zorin Core - give Zorin Lite a try in Live mode and see if it responds better?
