Printer Drivers

Hi guys
I'm new to the forum (and Linux!) so thanks for making me feel welcome.
I'm struggling to get my Canon MG5450 to print with Zorin. Zorin recognises the printer but it is stuck on printer state 'idle'. I have tried downloading driver packages but have had no result (not sure if they work just with Ubuntu??)
Any guidance would be appreciated.

For the scanner:
