Grub2 Blues

I just got Zorin working in 6 OS multiboot configuration Grub2 refused to recognize Zorin on extended partition and would not boot I tried almost everything I could think of until I stumbled upon a post for replacing grub2 with grub but since I could not boot to zorin from gag bootloader and the grub2 would not allow the zorin partition to boot even terminal commands to rebuild or reinstall grub2 from live cd were unsuccessful. I finally found this solution I booted into Ubuntu which I have installed on partition sda5 and entered a root terminal command to update grub which made zorin bootable through Ubuntus grub loader after gaining access to zorin on its partition sda9 I entered a terminal command to uninstall grub2 I then had to run an update to get grub legacy then install grub legacy and update grub this made the zorin partition bootable from the gag menu.these are the links i used http://pclinuxos2007.blogspot.com/2010/ ... -grub.html , http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=33382 The actual steps I took were Open a terminal, be the super user - sudo su if you are using Ubuntu and the likes, su for pure debian and the rest, Remove grub2 - apt-get remove grub-pc, Instal grub legacy - apt-get install grub, Install grub in MBR or wherever you think appropriate for your condition - grub-install /dev/sdx (replace "x" with appropriate character as per your partition tree), Update grub legacy - update-grub, before I could install grub legacy I had to get it from the update packages terminal command, apt-get update. Now it works like a charm and it really is a beauty Hands down the best of the best. And it now multiboots with 6 other not nearly as nice os' maybe you could include grub legacy install as an option in future releases for nuts like me to play with on multiboot machines.

I thought only 4 OS could be multi-booted! Congrats for all above, even if I actually lost track of the story at some point. What are the 6 OS that you have on boot???
