Well folks if ya want to know a little about this version>>> It still has some of the same issues as the last version. But the good thing about this updated version. (1) The Update Manager works right off the bat. (2) Updated kernel 3.2.0-32
(3) For the concerned with Nvidia cards you get the Nvidia-Current ver. 304.64. (4) Ubuntu Tweak has added features with the newest version. Overall installing / updating, moving things around back where they belong in Main Menu took a whole 20 minutes or so.

Take it for what it's worth!!! As the old saying goes.( If it works leave it alone) for those whom already have a working Zorin Os on their system
Those having to do a reinstall or someone new to this Distro!!!! >>>> ( This is the way you want to go ) <<<<

Remember different results for different folks!!!
These days every single computer has it's own personality.

To whom it may concern>>> If your having trouble with your download. Try this link: http://distrowatch.com/

This is a very trust worthy link for any Linux related Distro. You can download Zorin Os 6.1 or any other of your choice. When burning a new installation disk. The slower the better 4x or 6x speed !!!!
For using USB install method : http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/ or http://www.pendrivelinux.com/universal- ... -3/#button

Question where did the theme of the Screenshot of Zorin Os 6.1 Core on Softpedia come from. My son downloaded and installed without a problem from the Softpedia link, but he's driving me crazy wondering where the theme came from.
Do you or Swarf have a clue. Just wondering where little Einstein will quit bugging me about it.

Just go to the link that Wolfman posted !!! It looks like one of the older versions of Zorin Os. It's real nice, that's what had my son curious to download and install again.
From my own son's mouth. He told me Dad that's misleading the public. I told him it was probably a mistake on softpedia's part...Here's the actually link to the Screenshot>>> http://linux.softpedia.com/progScreensh ... 47533.html

Hi Datek1,

it looks like they are using "gnomishdark-theme" in that screenshot, tell your son to go here:

http://www.webupd8.org/2012/01/spice-up ... -cool.html

and he can install the PPA for the theme, or paste this command in a terminal:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/themes

Then:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install gnomishdark-theme

Then change the theme using Ubuntu Tweak.

That should keep him happy.
