It is really amazing how fast this forum comes up both in Zorin with FF and Windows with IE. I am on many forums and nerver saw one coming up that fast. Well done.

BUT - I have a little problem. Since I have only 40 % eyesight (macular degeneration), I have trouble with the blue skin. I have to use the magnifier to be able to decypher things (especially in the areas that are grey) and that is not very convenient. Is there another skin with e.g. black writing on white background in those grey areas. It would help me a lot. Thanks.

Hi whs, working in the field of visually impaired I have found this:

http://npxp.com/webbie-browser-for-visually-impaired

to be a good application - sadly no German version yet.

Stand corrected - here is the official site:

http://www.webbie.org.uk/ - deutsch at bottom of page. This is aimed at Internet Explorer uses so is Windows based :D

Another useful source of Assistive Technology - a lot of freeware and opensource OATsoft.org = Open source Assistive Technology.

Thank you very much for that information. This webbie looks interesting and I am going to try that out. And special thanks for the 'German' conideration. But I have worked in computers since 1961 and always in English. When I have to help a friend in Germany with a computer problem, I really struggle, LOL.

My problem is not that I cannot read my screen which is set at a 150% DPI. My problem is contrast. E.g. those grey areas with bklue writing on top of the forum pages are a real challenge. The blue areas with white writing are easy for me. And when things are really bad I use the magnifier.
