Is there scope for a "how to" on how to migrate hard won settings and data from the likes of Zorin 9 and 12 to Zorin15?

Some Linux distros cater for a complete system upgrade but not Zorin. This is what I've done in the past and will attempt to do when upgrading Z15 Core to Ultimate as and when it becomes available:

1/ back up your /home folder in Deja Dup and keep a list of your settings in a text file

2/ install your preferred new Z version

3/ in the new version install all the apps you had on the previous version

4/ restore your previous backup from Deja Dup

5/ apply any necessary tweaks

That should work and if so I will then try backing up from Z12.4 Ultimate and see how it goes. It all takes a bit of time but if it works it is a lot easier than doing everything from scratch!

Not OP, but I followed the steps and it worked. I stepped (jumped?) from Z12.4 to Z15 and have kept my settings, thanks!
