Just wondering if anyone else has had an issue setting up your Thunderbird e-mail client?
Keeps telling me I have wrong user name or password, and I'm 100% sure both are correct.
Also seen something from google saying unsafe security.

Hi Swarf. This is one of those things, if I searched another 15 minutes instead of posting...
Thunderbird was version 60.9.0. Had to update to most current version 68.2.1, and now all is good...
And I installed new updates like 2, 3 times already after I installed Lite 15, but looks like Thunderbird didn't
update to the most current version.

So if anyone else has this issue, here's have to solve it:

And Thanks Swarf for your response... Just appears that the older version doesn't meet googles safety requirements,
or something like that...

Out of curiosity, was that (the old) version that came packaged with the new release? ;) :D

The answer may have been mysteriously buried in his post...

LOL Aravisian. It's weird. Thunderbird 60.9.0 has the last release date of 11/5/19. Thunderbird 68.2.1 is 10/31/2019. 60.9.0 should be current & good.
For some odd reason it didn't work and 68 did. I use gmail, and was getting those emails someone tried to sign in. When I looked into it further, mentioned
something about didn't meet security specs. I don't know...
I'm just glad it's now working and I can spend some time setting up my new daily driver... Yeah.
