Hi, I'm new to zorin but understand most linux OS's well but just can't see on Zorin how to get the home folder etc on the desktop any help gratefully accepted

Hi, and Welcome! Go to Menu, Settings, Appearrance, Zorini Appearance, Desktop Tab then checkmark the icons you want to show on the desktop.
