OK. Recently I installed Cinnamon DE and the beauty of this DE is that it's Store (=Softwares in Zorin) uses Snap packages already (see https://snapcraft.io/). Now whilst I have argued a long time for Zorin to release a version with Cinnamon DE since Zorin 9 was due to its great configurability and the fact that (for Desktops) both Window keys (if present) can launch the Menu just like that other OS. Now the only problem with Cinnamon interface is that it does not 'talk to' Orca, the Gnome screen reader so I suspect that the next major release will be better than Cinnamon whilst based on it but with full accessibility with Orca integration for users with no sight. Zorin made great strides in this area with changing the panel/menu design from all previous iterations with the release of Zorin OS 12, as only YAMA (Yet Another Menu Application) would work fully with Orca in Zorin OS 9 and prior.

I've read on the mailing list that Orca support for cinnamon was going to be added to the desktop environment that was back in 2016 don't know if it has been enabled yet for support however have you done searches on Google for ideas on how to get it to work? I've found these articles here:

https://www.linuxquestions.org/question ... 175600204/ <--- Could be related but not sure!
https://wiki.debian.org/Orca#Setup

You can read the mailing list which I've found at this address:

Edit: Note: I've seen that you've posted this thread twice was that intentional or by mistake?

HI, Orca works, but then it doesn't. In Cinnamon DE, the fault lies in the 'slingshot panel/menu' - nothing gets announced. However, in Makulu which is based on Debian I was able to install AWN (Avant Window Navigator) and YAMA (Yet Another Menu Application) which was the only menu that worked with Orca in earlier releases of Zorin. Orca works best in Zorin Core/Ultimate as each category and application is announced correctly. ;) :D
