how do you setup openbox?

I installed zorin lite on this old dinosaur. Alittle slow. I really would like to use openbox. When I choose openbox (instead of zorin lite, zorin
GNOME, etc) at the login screen and login in, I get a bright blank screen. I ended up holding the power button to shutdown since I can't do
anything. Is there something I have to do to use openbox?

Btw, is there a wiki (or still a work in progress)? I did a search for openbox on this forum and got nothing - am I the first one???
No success on google either.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for replying. I'm not a geek, so I'm not going to waste time messing around. However, if someone else posts detailed instructions,
I probably will follow them unless I spin to another distro beforehand. I'm leaning toward a distro that uses a window manager than a desktop
environment - this machine is a dinosaur.
