I just installed Zorin 11 Core 64 on my Optiplex 380.The install went without a glitch. After removing the DVD and rebooting, it took about 4 minutes to completely boot. Long periods of black screen and no progress bar? Is this common? My hardware is as follows:

Optiplex 380
2.93ghz x2 cpu
1.9 gb ram
160gb hdd
I used the entire hdd for the install.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Having read the specs of your machine/similar here: http://www.cnet.com/products/dell-optiplex-380/specs/

I think your issue will be with Intel Graphics GMA4500.

Please take a look here:

Absolutely NO GUARANTEES! ;) :D

Hi. happy new year BTW
Do you think this will work on ZorinOS 12 Ultimate, or should I wait for the next ZorinOS based on 18.xx?

thanks in advance

EDIT: Ive seen that it's been suspended all ubuntu 16.04 support as stated her: https://www.phoronix.com/forums/forum/l ... ost1064983

Please start a new thread. Your link relates to AMD graphics not Intel. And a Happy New Year to you too! ;) :D
