Stuck at black screen on hp dv6 after install

Hello
I am trying to install Zorin 15 on my hp dv6 laptop. I have booted it from 16gb usb drive and tested that on my laptop it works well.
When I try to install it on HD and boot from HD, I get stuck at black screen without reaching any menu and tried to waif for like 20 minutes nothing happened. Of course I changed the boot priority in the BIOS.

My laptop doesn't support UEFI mode.
I tried nomodeset and every option in boot repair tool still not fixed.

Attached boot repair results:

I find this confusing in the output you sent a link to:

'total 0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 9 Jul 31 01:00 usb-SanDisk_Cruzer_Blade_200608772218CEA1212C-0:0 -> ../../sda
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Jul 31 01:00 usb-SanDisk_Cruzer_Blade_200608772218CEA1212C-0:0-part1 -> ../../sda1

which looks like an indication that the San-Disk Cruzer was writing to itself - rather than to the hard drive? :?

I tried to install it on 32gb SanDisk.
Which means that I have 16gb usb flash for live cd and 32gb usb flash to install linux on.
I also tried to install linux on my HD a month ago and I get the same result.

If your notebook has nvidia mobile graphics try adding the command after pressing 'e' on keyboard to edit boot parmaters:

"nouveau.modeset=0" as in this video on YouTube:

My laptop has ATI Radeon 6700m. Also I can't reach the grub menu when I boot. but I can use the boot repair to edit boot pamaters.
Is there any other solution since my graphics is not nvidia?

This is how to install the official AMD drivers which might prove tricky with your black screen situation. When you boot, press the left shift key - this should then bring GRUB up - try continual repeat pressing as it is sometimes difficult to catch at the right moment. Boot into Advanced and recovery mode. See if you can download the drivers in recovery mode.

I tried many times.
When I press the left shift key I get stuck at "GRUB loading" with black screen.
Is there a way to copy some driver files from my live usb since I can boot normally on the live usb.

I suspect it is possible but not had to attempt anything like this. Can you press Ctrl+ Alt+ F2 to get to a tty terminal prompt? If you can login with your username, then password. After that try 'vgamode=vesa' then 'startx'.

Whenever I had trouble with installing from USB, I tried installing from disk, instead. I burn a copy on disk, then try it that way.

You are not doing a Dual Boot, right?

When you perform installation, there are a series of selections that you make as you go. For example, if you try as Live CD, first, you can play around with the OS a bit. Then select "Install Zorin." Once you do, you get a GUI asking you questions like what Time Zone region you are in, whether you want to connect to the internet for updates as you go to save doing it after install and so forth. How far along these steps have you gotten?
Or...
Have you gotten all the way through and then found a black screen on reboot?

I can't reach anything after I boot and press Ctrl+ Alt+ F2.
I tried to add 'vgamode=vesa' by using boot repair after that I am still getting stuck at black screen.

I will try to connect to internet during installation as you said.
Is there a way to install driver to another hard disk ?

I used boot repair to add nomodeset and it didn't fix that also I tried many options like acpi_osi=,acpi_osi="Linux",acpi_osi="Windows 2006", acpi=off,........

I just need a way to copy drivers or some files from live usb to my installed linux so it can boot normally.

I tried all of them using boot repair none of them worked for me.

I was wondering, When I installed the system I created partition and mounted it as "/" and I installed the system on it. Do I need to create other partitions like boot, swapfile,,, ?

Honestly, you have nothing to lose by starting over from scratch. If it was me, that is exactly what I would do. Create a new bootable copy on USB or burn an installation disk. Format your thumb drive to FAT32, first. Redoing this ensures that there are no errors with the USB medium.
I am assuming that you are not trying to Dual Boot with Windows and assuming that there is not data on the disk that you fear losing.
If both of the above assumptions are correct, then create your bootable medium. If they are incorrect, please let us know.
In this link, you will find instructions step by step:
https://zorinos.com/help/install-zorin-os/
(Personally, I prefer Unetbootin, Rufus over Balena Etcher).
You would only need to set up your partitions if you have a different use in mind for your HDD. As above, please let us know if this is the case.
I would recommend that you do not create partitions at this time - UNLESS you are doing a Dual Installation alongside another O.S. If this is a straight installation of Zorin 15 to your HDD with no other O.S. on the computer, then a straight shot may help you get it up and running better.
You also do not need to create a Swap. Zorin 15 actually does that automatically for you during installation (Zorin 12 does not.)
It may seem like a lot of work to start over, but in actuality, you have already put in a lot of work. What your goal is is to get it installed and working.

As a mechanic, I can tell you... Sometimes you cannot just replace parts. Sometimes, you just gotta pull everything out and make sure each component is done right in one go, even if it seems like a lot of extra work. You just roll up your sleeves and get to getting dirty.

If you try to move a boot copy over to the existing installation, things will get messy. In my opinion, I think trying to patch it will yield less desirable results. I think there is no need to do so since this started as a fresh installation that was never completed.

I have been trying to do many installs for a month. I tried to ask in many forums there is no solution at all.
I tried to use all boot options like nomodeset.... , tried to use all my different usb ports, tried to change many types usb flashes, changed from usb2 to usb3, tried to change my bios graphics from dynamic to fixed on all boot options, tried to update my bios, tried all different application tools like (Rufus,Etcher,Unibootin),
What else can I do?

I love the linux system on this laptop it is super light better than windows. Windows 10 system on this laptop is very slow and not supported.

Hi WIZARD1500, are your hardware specs the same as this?:

https://www.cnet.com/products/hp-pavilion-dv6/

If so get some Verbatim/TDK/SONY blank DVD's and burn the Zorin 15 core to dvd using imgburn in Windows - get imgburn from https://ninite.com - that way you just get the app installed without having to visit the site and get confusing download links. I wouldn't use any other dvd burner on Winblows. ;) :D

Swarfendor supplied some more advice above. I certainly will not outperfom his advising.

What I can say, though is: I feel your pain. It really sounds to me like that particular laptop has a personal dislike for Linux. Perhaps it spent too long in bad company, hanging out with Windows whispering in its ear, I dunno. Windows 10 seems slow on every computer.
I have an Acer here that is now sitting on a shelf in the closet.
This computer I am using now is a similar model Acer. The other laptop is a higher end model Acer. And I have a Panasonic Toughbook. All three took Zorin, No Problem.
But that Acer computer sitting in the closet refused for Two Weeks of trying. Just like you describe. I set it in the closet, perhaps to wait until I can figure out why, perhaps to smash it someday in little pieces, Office Space Printer style.
These things are all made with Windows in mind and sometimes, they just refuse to accept Linux. Sometimes, you can force it through their thick skulls. Don't give up hope. But yes, it just happens sometimes and I have read enough on forums to believe that some computers Just Flatly Refuse. And sometimes no one finds the good hard definitive WHY they do.
Don't give up... I am using the Lite Version of Zorin 12.4 and I couldn't be happier with them.
