Problem with SD Card Reader - No access (Drivers required)

Hi Guys
I have a small problem i believe with my SD card Reader
Cannot access -
Please see list below and i would be grateful for your help here.

I believe i have read the relevant info on this issue from the links supplied and have come to the conclusion that there is no fix for this issue.
Am i right in this conclusion? As i was on able to find a solution to the problem.

There is Power to the device but just not being seen on the system.

There was one post that pointed out it is not capable of reading such cards (high capacity) and at most only able to read 2Gb SD card. Failing that it may well be incompatible. :(
