Hi. I can't really say why your approach did not work. May I suggest using the Ubuntu Software Center or Synaptic? if the problem persists, then it may be a problem on emerald's end (I'm guessing here, I may be wrong).

Hope that helps you

Hi,

try using Synaptic and search for the package "emerald", you also need "libemeraldengine0" and this is most likely why you are getting that message.

PS: If Synaptic isn't installed do:

sudo apt-get install synaptic

Hi JM,

try changing the download location of your sources.

Synaptic > Settings > Repositories > Ubuntu Software > Download From and change where you get your packages from.

You might also want to install the "getdeb" repo and "Medibuntu" repo.

http://www.getdeb.net/welcome/

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu

Once you install the 2 repo's, you must update the repo info via a terminal with:

sudo apt-get update
