How do I fix this it only shows this white background when I do shutdown and Zorin boots into the desktop the white background shows and it only seems to go away if I click on the desktop then the background picture shows like normal. I tested this with a restart and the white background never shows it only shows if I turn off the machine and then back on. Any idea how I can fix it’s really annoying.

I attached a picture to show what the desktop looks like when it does this weird white background glitch.

OK, can you check that you did any of the following?:

https://studyblast.wordpress.com/2011/0 ... -firmware/

https://www.rodsbooks.com/refind/

https://askubuntu.com/questions/674320/ ... es#tab-top

Please note that rEFIt is now a dead project and rEFInd is a new project by a different developer.

Well I don’t have any macOS on my ssd only Linux like I said it boots fine into the Zorin Desktop the issue is it will show a white background for no apparent reason and only seems to be fixed if I click the desktop. I also don’t think it’s due to a trim issue when all other parts of the OS function.

Do I have to buy ultimate to get support I mean this is one flaw I have tested all other distros and none works as flawless as Zorin no screen tearing only this white background glitch at startup

Sorry but that’s also not the issue in that forum post you linked he is having issues with hackintosh not Linux also his computer is not even an Apple product. Mine is an Apple computer made by Apple. My issue is this Zorin boots fine into the os but when it boots the background is removed with white and then when I click the desktop with the mouse my image background re shows. That’s the issue no other weird issue but that. My question is what is causing it and why does it go away when I click the desktop and the image background shows like normal. Also to restate I do not have anything other than Zorin Os on the SSD no MacOS just Zorin,
