Hi Everyone, I have Zorin 12.2 Lite Ultimate installed. I have the startup sound working, but I like to shut the pc down when I am finished with it of a night time, and the shutdown sound does
not play.

The file is there under /usr/share/sounds/shutdown1.wav

The sound will play in the terminal when I type paplay /usr/share/sounds/shutdown1.wav

The sound will also play if I right click the file and open with VLC media player or Parole Media Player

Any help would be appreciated. :D

Hi, Having difficulty finding anything for shutdown sound which is a shame. Nearest solution as such would be to write a script?:

http://ccm.net/faq/3348-execute-a-scrip ... -on-ubuntu

Also see if this helps?

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/282 ... h-a-script

I am a bit unsure as from Ubuntu 16.04, it now uses system.d instead of sys.init? ;) :D

Do keep us posted and share your solution! ;)

Hi again Swarfendor437, Thank you for the above links, and I have tried these plus many others things that I cannot even remember. If I find a solution I will let you know, but I do appreciate
the help
