I wonder , why is it that Xview (pictures browser) isn't available on "software"?. I have this program in another machine with another distro (LM) and would like to install it in Zorin Lite. Could that be possible? :?:

It is not in Software because it is no longer an official package in the repositories of Ubuntu, in much the same way Cinnamon DE was removed from official repositories.

thank you very much for this link. however I am looking for XView and link refers to XnView, according to the pics I don't think it is the same I should check the name to see if it is what I want. The app I wanted is just a picture viewer. I might have written wrong the name... will check...

UPDATE: Anyway I found in "software" a nice Image Viewer which has the same features and it even seems better it is called "gnome image viewer" , https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/EyeOfGnome :P

I think that comes in Core by default! (Image Viewer). ;)

thank you. I just understand now that I am attempting to mix applications created for gnome desktops in an xfced desktop (as I said before I use Mate in other machine, but Mate is gnome) I wasn't understanding that I am in xfce .... hope the mix / use of gnome apps doesn't spoil anything.
I am sorry for looping over this mater in several posts, the fact is that I am not so old in linux, and desktops variety is something "new" to me. I am thinking about installing core, which seems to be more "friendly" to my previous knowledges ;)

Off topic: I have a beautiful clock in Lite , do you think I will be able to have the same in Core. ?

If you want some cool looking clocks I would look at installing Cairo-Dock DE:
