Hi, please follow the guide here:

https://askubuntu.com/questions/149206/ ... run#149224

If you are running Zorin Core you may need to replace the 'lightdm' command with 'gdm' but try the instructions as outlined in the link first. ;) :D

I can't install, i have an error:
Nouveau driver is installed, Nvidia can't be compatible with Nouveau.

How can i remove Nouveau driver ?

Either from the Menu, or Settings | Additional Drives - choose the lowest numbered nVidia driver available for stability - this will deselect the nouveua one - next follow the instructions for your specific driver. Hope this works!

I don't have anything in Additional Drivers... That's why i would install the nvidia driver with '.run' file.

OK, one more go:

https://askubuntu.com/questions/153915/ ... ise#155572

Failing that when you get to the boot screen, press 'E' to edit the boot parameters and enter:

Code:
nomodeset forcevesa acpi=off

be sure to press the space bar once before entering the above items.

Ok, i will try...

But, i found this after searching in google:
"Nvidia 173 is not (and will not) compatible with xorg server 1.18"
And there is not a new driver for my GPU... I should to install a distro based on Ubuntu 14.04... :(

Well before going to Zorin 9 (Based on Ubuntu 14.04) try the text installation method:

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8004&p=38810#p38810

If no joy then get Zorin 9 from here:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/zorin-os/files/9/

Please note that the isos that have an 'a' after them contain images for countries where DVD codecs are illegal - only download an iso with an '-a' after it if the country where you live makes having codecs to watch DVDs illegal. ;) :D

The downside - Zorin 9 is only supported until April next year. :(

Zorin 10 or 11 are not based on Ubuntu 14.04 ?
I will try the text installation... If it doesn't work, i will install Zorin OS 9 for the moment ! :)

10 was based on 15.04 and 11 on 15.10 - short term releases, just like Ubuntu:

Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet Rel April 23, 2015 February 4, 2016
Ubuntu 15.10 Wily Werewolf Rel October 22, 2015 July 28, 2016

Ok... i don't very like the UI of Zorin 9, the UI of Zorin 12 is more better. And, there is so much errors/bugs on Zorin 9...
I don't know if i should to move to Zorin 9 or stay with Zorin 12 or move to another distro... What is the better option ? :geek:

Can you not get a new compatible graphics card? ;) :D

I have an old computer, so this computer has Windows XP and can get Windows 7 with Aero (because it's a good GPU). So, i prefered to install linux because it's more lighter... And buy a new GPU for an old computer, it doesn't help much...
You know a distro like macOS based on Ubuntu 14.04 ?

Hi, I can't remember what equivalent version PearOS 8 was based on but you can still get it here - nothing has matched it as well since its demise:

http://linux.softpedia.com/get/System/O ... 6309.shtml

Note you cannot get Pear 9.3 which was actually a different Project that tried to take it over (GMac).

Good Luck!

Oh, you could always install Zorin 9, then install the CairoDock DE and boot into that DE (Desktop Environment) with the cog at login instead of Zorin Desktop?:

PearOS 8 is based on Ubuntu 13.04... :/
Can i modify the UI of another distro like PearOS ?
