Where to add printer?

Hi,

I try to make a zorin 5 lite pc print to a networkattached canon mp620.
According to internet resources this is not the easiest thing to do. However I found a debian package for the 630, so I installed this. But where can I then add this printer to the system? In the printer application when I use the add button, I can only use four option for network attached printers. Namely HP, IPP, samba and another one.

None of these seems appropriate here. Anyone knows what to do?

Cheers

Can you ping the printer from your Linux box?

Just use your web browser and type in localhost:631 and add printer. You may want to try Windows Printer via SAMBA .

The connection should be socket://your_printer_IP_address

Make sure that "cups" is also installed, I am not sure if it is in the Lite version of Zorin!!.

Got it working, don't ask me how . Removed all drivers I found regarding to canon and installed 2 or 3 fresh from the repository. Works now, but don't know why.
