I wonder if you need to install the Intel microcode - please read the linked thread in its entirety before pursuing action stated therein:

Hi

your intel chip is a bad coin :(

an updated BIOS might help. some manufacturers made fixes there related to freeze issues.
the other thing I can think of are heating problems of your gear (unlike)

can you tell when it occurs. is it a matter of freeze during the play of videos in chrome?

From your last post it looks like some of the text/report output is incomplete?

it never happens when i play videos in chrome. how do you update the bios when the update file is .exe? a set of simplified instructions would be helpful as not wanting to kill my laptop,

Not for the faint-hearted. Be sure to read this and any other links very carefully. What you decide to do in the end is ENTIRELY YOUR DECISION AND RESPONSIBILITY!

Hi

I share you concern. providing flashing bios is a matter for the manufacturer. you can see the quality of HP support service.
Code:

I would not touch bios outside windows.

hope swarfendor437 can come with procedure to update firmware drivers?

my message was crossed with the one of Swarfendor437 :)
