Tumbnails won't display properly

Hi, I have a wee problem, my file manager won't display some copied or pasted or otherwise modified thumbnails any more. All I get is the the generic dead tree in a sunset. This seems to be a new problem as all my older photos are fine (until I modify them).
And the photos open up fine in Image Viewer or Fotoxx, it's just the thumbnail that's a problem.
I'm running Zorin os 9 and the file manager is PCMan FM 1.2.0, and I've done my updates pretty regularly.
Any help would be gratefully received.

Hi, because you are using PC Man FM I guess you are running Zorin Lite. This expired last year in April 2017 as it is based on Lubuntu 14.04 and only ran for 3 years. I would advise moving to Zorin 12 Lite. ;)
