Waterfox and Zorin 12.4

Was fascinated by Zorinantwerp's waterfox comments in another thread. Worth investigating, I thought.

Strange: when I put "ubuntu/grab binary packages/waterfox_56.2.4-0_amd64.deb" into the terminal, ubuntu enters as ubunt u and is not recognised.

I have never seen this before. Am I missing an intermediate stage?

I also downloaded "waterfox-56.2.4.en-US.linux-x86_64.tar.bz2" from the Waterfox website, which I extracted into a folder "waterfox". No sign of a .deb.

What do I do to get it working from the "waterfox" folder, please?

Hi

check under software(installed) and add GDebi Package installer (if not done so)
the *.deb you have under downloads
click on it and the 'software' screen pops up asking for install

trust you make it :)

I would have used Gdebi - if I had a .deb (which I had not).

However...

I have now found a .deb at: https://bintray.com/hawkeye116477/waterfox-deb/waterfox

I will use Gdebi on it when I feel brave - and see what Waterfox is all about

I admit it was unclear that the deb link was under the original thread
repeated for sake of good order
Code:
https://software.opensuse.org//download.html?project=home%3Ahawkeye116477%3Awaterfox&package=waterfox

good luck :)
