I cannot search my devices ???

Hello,
Would someone please help me on this one. I cannot search my external Hard drives for files that i looking for on the search box. It only searches in my computer files.
Any suggestion to fix this? This worked perfect in Zorin 03 & 04 .

Hi,

if you don't have automount for your drives activated; you must load them (mount) manually, when you look in Nautilus on the left, right click on a drive and then on mount !!.

Hello,
How would i mount them? The devices show up on my computer i could get into them but just cannot do a search for files on the device that I'm on? Thanks, Jesse

Still nothing works?? I cannot search my devices. I put my live pinguy 11.04 off a usb and its works perfect.

Hi,

try pressing Alt + F2 and then type "gconf-editor", a window will open and you should go to > apps > nautilus > preferences and look at the automount settings there!!.
