Zorin UI just reset out of the blue

Problem summary / context:
I was going about my day normally, and it (at least Zorin Dash, but maybe more?) just logged me out + reset to defaults

By this I mean, it:
  1. Took me to the green/teal (I assume default Ubuntu?) lock screen with the timer.
  2. Once I dragged that up and out of the way, it showed me the login screen for ZorinOS which only shows up when my computer starts (not just the "prompt for password" screen - made me select my username)
  3. Made me login again
  4. When I logged in, Zorin dash was set to defaults

Is there somewhere I could look for logs that might show why this might have happened? Thanks in advance..

System information:

OS Version: ZorinOS 12.4 Ultimate
Kernel: Linux version 4.15.0-43-generic

Custom built box by System76. Their default Pop! OS is okay..but I like Zorin better :)
Specs:

Motherboard: Gigabyte X299 AORUS Gaming 3-CF
Processor: Intel i7-7800X @ 3.50GHz
Video Card: GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
RAM: 32GB of Ballistix Sport @ 2666Mhz

Hard Drive partitioning:
Code:
sudo fdisk -l
...
Device         Boot     Start       End   Sectors   Size Id Type
/dev/nvme0n1p1 *         2048 910280703 910278656 434.1G 83 Linux

I have not overclocked the CPU or changed the RAM voltage at all - everything is stock.

ZorinOS 12.4 is the only OS installed.

I use Gnome Tweak Tool with the following settings:
  • Theme (GTK+ and icons): ZorinBlue-Light
  • Cursor: Adwaita (default)
  • Extensions: [Zorin Dash, Zorin Menu, Zorin Panel, Zorin Tray]

Thanks in advance, for any help/advice you can give!

I don't use Zorin Dash myself but guess the best way forward for now is to use the backup tool that ships with Zorin or install Timeshift where you can create up to 3 snapshots a day to get you back where you were. In the meantime checkout logs created in 'var'. ;) :D
