i have libreoffice 5 and 6 on Zorin os 12, when i open a pdf with draw, the pdf content is all incorrect characters. I tried the same pdf in ubuntu and draw and it was fine. is there a missing package i needed for Zorin OS and Libreoffice?

I can't find any answers that match your issues whilst searching online. You could sign-up for a Bugzilla Account (which I don't have) to view issues reported there?:

LibreOffice uses its own icon set. You might purge LibreOffice and then Reinstall it to see if that resolves your issue.
Please Be Sure to back up your actual Work Files in a Safe Place First.
You can view the icons used by Libreoffice in png format by going to /usr/share/libreoffice/share/config folder.
I would suggest using Synaptic to remove completely.
Then do
Code:
sudo apt autoremove
in terminal- with caution, check what it is removing, first.
Then install Libreoffice.
