Although I haven't tested it, in most cases older hardware is normally supported pretty well, assuming the CPU architecture is supported.
You can try ZorinOS risk free on a bootable USB or bootable CD, just keep in mind that due to the limited IO of those devices that it will be quite a bit slower then an installed equivalent.
