I am looking for a utorrent for Zorin 15.1 lite. The already available software in the system utorrent (wine) does not seem to work. Please advise where I can find an alternative download.

If I have to use a torrent machine it would be 'Deluge'.

In future, please start your own thread - adding to old threads on older versions of Zorin can lead to a temporary ban - continually posting to old threads can lead to a permanent ban. ;) :D

I use transmission without any trouble at all, as well.

Now, I must search the board to find an old thread to necro... Swarf's fun when his buttons are pushed.

Well if you mean the security weakness that Transmission had in earlier iterations ... and because of that I would always stick with deluge. :P

I did not know about that. Is it fixed, now?
If something had an error in the past that was fixed in the present, I don't feel compelled to dustbin it.
VLC had a major security flaw a while back but they fixed it right away. "Stuff" happens.

Well not too long ago there appears to have been a malware threat ... for Mac users:

See the glowing comment about 'deluge'. :D

It depends on what sort of torrenting you specialise in but after trying several over the years I settled for the most superior of all clients: qBittorrent.

I guess it is what the user was using at the time but I had to rebuild a Windows enabled Acer Notebook that had been riddled with viruses using qtorrent. It will always be deluge for me. But I haven't had the need to use torrent client at all for some time. :D

Whereas it is possible that the qBittorrent installation file may have been obtained from a dubious location, it is extremely unlikely that qBittorrent itself infected the device you mention. More likely that the user was torrenting dodgy material. The qB team are security conscious.
