GVim not showing up

It doesn't show under my programs even though the Menu manager shows it.

PS - I had to install it using "Software" since Synaptic didn't seem to show it.

It probably wouldn't show up in the menu for a number of reasons, like you stated not in Synaptic and also how up-to-date Main Menu (aka Alacarte) is up-to-date with 'recognised' apps.

But it used to show up in the past. When I first started using Zorin and didn't know any better, I used "Software" to install GVim, and it would show up on the menu. This was on a prior install of the same 15 Core on the same machine.

Are your updates pointing to Main Server?

Yep.

Update: As soon as I posted this, the Software Updater ran and had me restart, and voila, GVim is now showing up. You must have done something, right Swarf?

PS - "Did you turn it off and on again?"
