[SOLVED] Where to put apps that are not installers?

When I download an app that I just have to change the permissions and run it where does that go? For example, I just downloaded the pCloud app to the Downloads directory and changed the permissions and now it runs from there. Is there a better place to put it? Seems odd to have Downloads as a permanent location. Thanks for any advice. I don't know anything.

;) :D Actually it creates a folder inside of your /home folder for user and a hidden file (.pcloud) - it then adds itself to your startup applications. - It will launch a login prompt when you login - you don't have to connect - you can just quit.

So, can I delete it from downloads? Thanks.

I think the download is just the installer. ;) :D

Deleted and seemed to work then rebooted and no-go. Reinstalled to a new folder called pCloud. Now OK. thank you very much!
