winbind and company network access

After installing Zorin5.2 I was unable to view company Windows Network (Unable to mount location). Only after comparing samba packages with Ubuntu/Mint OS's on same multiboot machine (via synaptic package manager) did I see that winbind was installed on the Zorin partition while it was NOT included in other OS's. Removing winbind in Zorin enabled me to view (and with password) access all machines included in Windows Network.

Hope this helps someone

I found that, even though removing winbind didn't get me workgroup browsing, pyNeighborhood did. Installed through the Software Manager, and it instantly was able to browse and allow me to mount network shares.

FWIW...
