Zorin is missing from OS list during boot

I installed Zorin successfully, but upon rebooting my computer I am only offered the options of booting into Windows XP Professional or Windows System Restore. I did not have this problem with a different computer. Is there something I can do to include Zorin in the list of bootable operating systems or do I need to try a fresh install?

Thanks for your time.

1. It's a Dell optiplex gx260 (from the stone age)
2. I allocated 13 gigs for a partition before installing
3. Yes I installed from the live desktop

I did a fresh install with Zorin Lite, but the result is the same. I installed Zorin on a laptop with no problems, after I rebooted it took me to the list of operating systems (called grub???). When I install and reboot on this caveman computer it takes me to the normal boot(not in grub), and only offers me to boot XP.

Got it all working, I pretty much did what you recommended. Thanks for the help, Zorin Lite is much faster than XP on this antique.
