Ever miss Ubuntu 10.10, or just Gnome2 in general?

Look no farther! You have found the perfect set of applets for Cinnamon!

This Applet set has the old "Applications", "Places", and "System" Menus from Gnome2, but Cinnamified!
Don't forget to rate with your opinion.

Applications Menu

Browse your Applications, in a Gnome2ish Style. The Gnome 2 look is still in progress though,
So stay tuned for the perfect Applications Menu!
(Don't forget, right click this menu, for "Edit Applications" where you can edit which Apps you want to show.)

Places Menu

Browse your folders and bookmarks! This applet looks great, and even has the "Recent Files" tab!
Make sure to test this out, you're bound to love it!

System Menu

Open your System Menu to find your "Administration" and "Preferences" apps, each in their own tab!
This is also a place for your quitting purposes, whether it's logging out, or actually quitting the system.
Upon clicking "Shut Down..." a Menu will pull up, with the options
"Suspend", "Hibernate", "Restart", "Cancel", and "Shut Down".
Unlike in the Cinnamon Menu's "shutdown" clicking these options will make the process happen instantly, with no waiting.
(This also includes a right click menu, which currently is "Gnome Menu Settings", and allows you to change
the sizes of the icons, in ALL 3 Applets)

Installation:
1.) Extract the .zip, and open "Linux Mint Applets" or "Ubuntu Applets" based on your distro, and move GnomeMenu@bownz, GnomePlaces@bownz and GnomeSystem@bownz folders to ~/.local/share/cinnamon/applets or /usr/share/cinnamon/applets.

2.) As root, copy org.cinnamon.applets.GnomeMenu.gschema.xml to /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/

3.) Open terminal, and run the command sudo glib-compile-schemas /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas

4.) Open Cinnamon settings and enable all the "Gnome-like"-labeled Applets.

5.) Enjoy your experience:)

by the way I posted b4 doing. This puts the old application places and sytem menus from gnome2 on panel using gnome menu it does not reinstall gnome menu applet for global menu but if you want to install conky you need the panel unless you want to F2 everytime to start it.
