Hi,

basically; what you need to do is replace the .thunderbird folder with the one you want to replace it with. Follow these steps:

Right click and copy the main folder of your Thunderbird folder, open your home folder (if not already open) and then press Ctrl + h, which will show hidden files, you will see a folder with the name ".thunderbird", now right click and "Paste" (you are pasting the original Thunderbird folder you copied a little earlier!), it should say, "The .thunderbird folder already exists. Do you want to replace it?", (or something like that!) say yes and that should completely overwrite your current Thunderbird folder with all your settings and mails!.

Please note, you must have started Thunderbird at least once before it will show in the home folder even if you didn't set it up with an account!.

Hope it helps. :D
