[STICKY] Zorin 9 : set Adobe Reader as default pdf viewer

Postby grapox » Sat Sep 06, 2014 9:25 am

I knew about the "Open with" in the Properties tab.

But what if the application (here, Adobe Acrobat) isn't there?

Here what solved my problem (in Gnome):

Open the file /etc/gnome/defaults.list (admin mode) as root:
Code: Select all
sudo gedit /etc/gnome/defaults.list

Change the line:
Code: Select all
application/pdf=evince.desktop

to:
Code: Select all
application/pdf=acroread.desktop
