Has anyone tried to see if ZorinOS 9 LTS is compatible or capable of handling a Quadcore processor.....is that possible or would it really make any difference in performance of the OS....just curious

There will not be any problem. Zorin 9 is based on ubuntu 14.04, so it will be compatible with quad-core processors.

I have a laptop with quad-core processor, intel haswell i7-4710HQ.
Would you like me to prepare a live usb of Zoirn and test it?

I have a custom built tower that sports an AMD Phenom x2 555 Black Edition 3.2Ghz, it's dual core, but is capable of being opened up to Quadcore, and I have ZorinOS 9 64 bit LTS on it now.....I was curious as to the ability of it handling the Quad setup, or if it would go crazy on me....Thanks madvinegar
