Create Kiosk-type mode?

Hi there! Quick question:

What is the "cleanest" method to create a Kiosk-type desktop? I work for a school district, looking for a friendly Windows alternative (as licenses are a bit expensive...) I want to create a simple desktop where panels and desktop icons cannot be messed with. All the machine will be used for is web browsing, so I basically just need a Chrome icon on the desktop.

What would best practices be?
Thanks!

Here you go (you could see if it works in Zorin too as it is based off ubuntu):

Hi,

you can use Zorin OS and you should also install the package "gnome-system-tools" which will add an icon in the main menu under "Users and Groups", armed with this tool you can setup accounts and how the guest accounts react with the OS, you can select how much access the guest has with regards to network or printing and other areas of the PC!!.
