Avast

First U must registered at http://www.avast.com/registration-free-antivirus.php to get free licensi. it will be sent to Ur email

Open terminal Ctrl+Alt+T
Code:
wget http://files.avast.com/files/linux/avast4workstation_1.3.0-2_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i avast4workstation_1.3.0-2_i386.deb

Find in accessoris, click to run and input the license. Done

Clamav

wget http://es.sourceforge.jp/projects/sfnet_clamtk/downloads/ClamTk/4.34/clamtk_4.34-1_all.deb/
sudo dpkg -i clamtk_4.34-1_all.deb

if you got a problem during install :

sudo apt-get -f install

Find in accessoris then click to run

Before I try it does this still apply to Zorin 9 Ultimate OS x64 ? , any advice appreciated guys :D

HI, not sure if Avast still do this (not checked) ClamAV is the native GNU/Linux AV (also available for Windows too). Bit Defender for Linux is free - Wolfman posted a thread about it some time ago and a few months ago I went to their site and it WAS still free then. Hope this helps.

I did give a 'tutorial' of sorts in the past - time to do one for my vimeo channel methinks! :D

And to show no hard feelings to Windows users I will do one on how to install Comodo without the garbage! :D
